SAP Return-to-Duty Services
D&A Assessment Services now offers SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) Return-to-Duty services for DOT-regulated, safety-sensitive employees who have experienced a drug or alcohol violation.
The SAP Return-to-Duty process is a federally regulated program designed to ensure public safety while helping employees meet compliance requirements and return to work as efficiently as possible. Our role is to guide individuals through each required step with clarity, professionalism, and timeliness, while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations.
What Is a SAP Evaluation?
A SAP evaluation is the first required step after a DOT drug or alcohol violation. During this evaluation, a qualified Substance Abuse Professional assesses the situation and determines appropriate education or treatment recommendations based on DOT guidelines.
How D&A Helps
At D&A Assessment Services, we provide:
- SAP evaluations conducted by qualified professionals
- Clear, individualized recommendations based on DOT requirements
- Guidance throughout the Return-to-Duty process, including follow-up evaluations when required
- Efficient scheduling and communication to help minimize unnecessary delays
Our focus is on helping clients understand the process, comply with all federal requirements, and move forward with a clear path back to safety-sensitive work.
Who Needs SAP Services?
SAP services are required for individuals in DOT-regulated positions, including but not limited to:
- Commercial drivers (CDL)
- Aviation employees
- Railroad workers
- Transit employees
- Pipeline workers
If you have been removed from duty due to a DOT drug or alcohol violation, SAP services are a mandatory step before you can return to safety-sensitive work.
